Wheat Almond Rose Halwa
Made from Amrit Foods Superfine Special Atta
- Amrit Foods Superfine Special Atta – 1⁄2 cup
- Almond – 1 cup
- Pistachios – 1⁄4 cup
- Rose petals – 2 tsp
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1⁄4 cup
- Rose water – 2 tsp
- Cloves – 4
- Water – 1⁄4 cup
- Milk – 1⁄2 cup
- Saffron – a pinch
Add boiling water to a cup of almonds and let it rest for approximately 20 minutes. Now peel off the skin of the almonds.
Coarsely grind the almonds and keep aside.
In a small bowl, add some milk to saffron and let it rest.
In a non-stick pan, dry roast the atta for approximately 7-8 minutes until it turns slightly brown.
Take the roasted atta out and add ghee to the pan. Once the ghee is hot, add cloves and let them splutter.
Add ground almonds to this and roast them for a few minutes.
Add the roasted atta and 1⁄2 cup sugar and mix everything well.
Add saffron milk and mix. Keep stirring.
Once the milk is completely absorbed, add water and cook further until the water is completely absorbed.
Add the remaining 1⁄2 cup sugar and keep stirring until the ghee starts to separate from the halwa.
Now add rose water, rose petals and mix well.
Let the halwa cool a little and serve it topped with chopped pistachios and rose petals.
