Wheat Almond Rose Halwa

Made from Amrit Foods Superfine Special Atta



  • Amrit Foods Superfine Special Atta – 1⁄2 cup
  • Almond – 1 cup
  • Pistachios – 1⁄4 cup
  • Rose petals – 2 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1⁄4 cup
  • Rose water – 2 tsp
  • Cloves – 4
  • Water – 1⁄4 cup
  • Milk – 1⁄2 cup
  • Saffron – a pinch


  • Add boiling water to a cup of almonds and let it rest for approximately 20 minutes. Now peel off the skin of the almonds.

  • Coarsely grind the almonds and keep aside.

  • In a small bowl, add some milk to saffron and let it rest.

  • In a non-stick pan, dry roast the atta for approximately 7-8 minutes until it turns slightly brown.

  • Take the roasted atta out and add ghee to the pan. Once the ghee is hot, add cloves and let them splutter.

  • Add ground almonds to this and roast them for a few minutes.

  • Add the roasted atta and 1⁄2 cup sugar and mix everything well.

  • Add saffron milk and mix. Keep stirring.

  • Once the milk is completely absorbed, add water and cook further until the water is completely absorbed.

  • Add the remaining 1⁄2 cup sugar and keep stirring until the ghee starts to separate from the halwa.

  • Now add rose water, rose petals and mix well.

  • Let the halwa cool a little and serve it topped with chopped pistachios and rose petals.
